We offer professional, on-site hive inspections tailored to your preferred level of involvement. Choose the experience that best fits your learning style and comfort level.

Inspection Options

Hands-On Inspection
You actively participate in the inspection while being supervised by a Consulting Beekeeper. Guidance and assistance are provided as needed, allowing you to build skill and confidence in real time.

Hands-Off Inspection
The Consulting Beekeeper performs all hive work while you observe, ask questions, and receive detailed explanations throughout the process.

On-Site Inspection Rates

Delta County: $130.00 for the first hour
Each Additional Hour: $65.00
Outside Delta County: Please call for travel pricing

Inspections May Include (but are not limited to):

General colony health evaluation
Brood pattern and population assessment
Split consultation or assistance
Varroa mite testing
Seasonal management recommendations

This service is designed as a private inspection for you and your immediate beekeeping family. If you would like to include additional participants or turn the visit into a shared learning session, additional fees will apply.

Full Service Apiary Management

Full Apiary Management is a complete, professional beekeeping service designed for property owners who want the benefits of honey bees—without the responsibility of hands-on care.

Chris Williams

Chris brings more than 40 years of commercial beekeeping experience to every apiary he manages. As a third-generation beekeeper, beekeeping isn’t just a profession — it’s a family legacy.

On both sides of his family, beekeeping was a way of life. His grandfather, uncles, and cousins were all beekeepers, and Chris was raised in an environment where hive management, honey production, and colony health were part of everyday conversation. From an early age, he learned that successful beekeeping requires discipline, observation, hard work, and deep respect for the bees.

Over four decades, Chris has worked extensively in commercial operations, developing practical, field-tested strategies for maintaining strong, productive colonies in a wide range of conditions. His approach blends traditional beekeeping knowledge passed down through generations with modern, science-based management practices.

Today, Chris brings that lifetime of experience to every client—whether providing consultation, private instruction, or full apiary management. His commitment is simple: healthy bees, responsible stewardship, and professional care you can trust.

Gwen Williams

Gwen often jokes that she’s “just the beekeeper’s wife,” but her role in the apiary is anything but secondary. With over two decades of commercial beekeeping experience, Gwen has developed a deep, science-driven understanding of colony health, management, and sustainable practices.

After marrying a third-generation beekeeper, she stepped into a world where beekeeping was not just a business, but a family legacy. What began as supporting the family operation quickly became a personal passion. Gwen pursued advanced education and became a Master Beekeeper certified through Cornell University, strengthening her commitment to evidence-based hive management.

Gwen is especially passionate about the science of beekeeping and continually seeks to expand her knowledge. Her goal is to apply that expertise not only to strengthen the commercial operation, but also to equip and support backyard beekeepers with reliable, research-based guidance.

Her approach blends practical field experience with scientific insight—helping bridge the gap between large-scale commercial practices and responsible hobby beekeeping.
